I say this because I'm very interested in 3D animation so I watch a load of youtube tutorials about how to do different things in the software Maya so that I can gain my abilities and be able to do tasks that employers will set me in the future without struggling in how to work the software. I have created many things in Maya from static models to fully animated animations and even did a bit of motion capture in Maya as well, so I feel like I am gaining skills quite fast and learning new things in Maya every day.
Going back to the two videos about the collision simulations, These were hard to do because my knowledge on using ncloths and the bullet tool in Maya aren't as strong as my modelling, rigging and animating skills. An ncloth is and does as it sounds, it basically makes an object like a flat plane for instance into a piece of cloth or any soft material. But it also can be used for collision simulations just by increasing some of the setting of the ncloth tool. Thats how I used it in my videos.
I would like to further my skills in Maya and learn how to do a crash simulation using real life objects or buildings because having the skill to be able to do that will make my showreel more interesting and it might even get me a job working on a film/game/animation that needs a collision simulation or just someone who is good with using Maya.
